Digital Product Design

We help businesses design digital products, from web apps and mobile apps to platforms, taking them from initial concept through to launch. Strategy, research, UX, UI, and everything in between.

What makes product design different?

A website is largely about communication, presenting information to visitors. A digital product is different. People log in, they have accounts, they complete tasks, they come back repeatedly. The design challenges are different too.

Product design considers the full lifecycle. How do people discover your product? What's their first experience? How do they learn to use it? What keeps them coming back? What makes them recommend it to others?

This is the kind of design work we do, shaping products that solve real problems and create real value.

Products we help design

SaaS applications

Subscription software products where user retention is everything. We focus on onboarding, feature discovery, and the moments that determine whether someone becomes a paying customer or churns during the trial.

Internal tools

Software your team uses every day: admin panels, dashboards, workflow tools. These products don't need to sell themselves, but they need to be efficient. Time saved on repetitive tasks multiplied by hundreds of users adds up quickly.

Mobile applications

iOS and Android apps have their own design patterns and constraints. Screen size, touch interactions, offline capability, notifications. We design for the medium, not just resize desktop interfaces.

Dashboards & data products

Products where the value is in the data. Analytics platforms, reporting tools, monitoring systems. The challenge is presenting complex information clearly so users can actually make decisions from it.

How we work on product design

01

Discovery

We learn about your market, users, and business model. What problem are you solving? Who are you solving it for? What exists today? This phase might include user interviews, competitive analysis, and stakeholder workshops.

02

Strategy

Before designing screens, we define the product strategy: what are the key user journeys? What's the minimum viable version? How will you measure success? This shapes everything that follows.

03

Structure

Information architecture, user flows, and wireframes. We work out how the product fits together: what screens exist, how they connect, what actions are possible. This is deliberately low-fidelity to focus on logic over aesthetics.

04

Design

High-fidelity interface design covering all the screens, states, and edge cases. We design for real scenarios: empty states, error messages, loading states, first-time users vs returning users.

05

Prototype & Test

Interactive prototypes that feel like the real product, used to test with actual users. We watch people try to complete tasks and identify where they struggle. Findings feed back into the design.

06

Design System

For ongoing products, we create a design system: documented components, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency as the product grows and more people contribute to it.

How we typically work together

New product engagements

For new products, we typically run a focused discovery and design phase (6-12 weeks) that takes you from concept to validated, development-ready designs. This gives you something concrete to show investors, stakeholders, or development teams.

Ongoing product design

For existing products, we can work as an embedded part of your team, designing features, running research, and evolving the design system. This is usually a retained arrangement with a consistent weekly commitment.

Design and development together

We're a full-service digital agency, which means we can also build what we design. There are advantages to this.

Collaboration from the start

Designers and developers work together from the start, so designs are always technically feasible.

Smooth handoff

No handoff friction or lost-in-translation moments between design and development teams.

Single accountability

Single point of accountability for the end result.

That said, we're equally happy to work with your existing development team or another agency. Good design stands on its own.
